VIRTUAL REALITY PLATFORM FOR THE TREATMENT OF SOCIAL PHOBIA

Client: King’s College

The Department of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience at King’s College was seeking to develop a platform using the latest VR technologies to investigate the relationship between various components of social performance (cognitive, affective and behavioral) and their increase in paranoid thinking using a VR environment.

Given Virtualware’s extensive experience in the medical and mental health field with virtual reality, King’s College decided to collaborate with Virtualware in this development.

Under the specifications and criteria of the researchers, Virtualware designed and developed the platform that incorporates virtual reality scenes and variables that allow, through the manipulation by researchers, collect information from users who are living the experience and thus be able to evaluate the different degrees in the paranoid thinking.
